Where it started
SVR was founded in 1988 by two engineers who had spent their careers working within the industry. With a shared passion for engineering and a commitment to providing a dependable, high-quality service, they established the business on the principles of technical expertise, reliability and customer care.
More than three decades on, we continue to build lasting relationships through honest advice, reliable workmanship and a commitment to getting the job done right.

Founded by two experienced engineers with a shared commitment to quality, technical expertise and putting the customer first.
Expanding our services
Alongside our core industrial boiler specialism, we expanded into the recalibration of refrigeration pressure relief valves, supporting customers locally and further afield including London.
A family business today
SVR is now a proud family-run company with a dedicated team of five, delivering the same personal approach and high standards that have been at the heart of the business since day one.
How we work
We work across a wide range of sectors, including petrochemical plants, government establishments, local authorities, hospitals and MOD divisions — environments where reliability and compliance matter, and where downtime has real consequences.
What hasn't changed since 1988 is our approach to clients. We take the time to understand each customer's specific requirements rather than offering a one-size-fits-all service, and we believe that's what builds the kind of long-term relationships we're known for. Many of our clients have worked with us for years, returning because the same engineer who fixed it last time understands their equipment and their site.
